Thank you for your interest in the kids and family business project! My name is Jessica Merten and I am a senior Behavioral Science major at Columbia College, a women's liberal arts college in Columbia, SC. For my undergraduate research project, I am exploring if parents have different expectations for their children if the children grow up in family businesses than the expectations of parents who work outside of the home. The survey consists of 20 brief questions. You will be asked to provide some information about your family and your business. There are no right or wrong answers; we are only looking for your ideas or opinions. This study does not represent any harm to yourself or others and all the information that you provide will be kept completely confidential. The information obtained will strictly be used for only academic purposes and hopefully aid in improving the functionality of family businesses everywhere.
